1. What this covers
This policy explains what personal data Crazy Horse Comics collects when you use our site or order a comic, what we do with it and how to have it deleted. We collect what we need to make and deliver your book, and little else.
2. What we collect
We store the photos you upload, your answers to the questions, the characters and story you approve, and the images and pages we draw from them. We also store your email address and, for an order, your name, shipping address and, where requested, a phone number. From the hero's photo we derive face-match data, a numeric description of the face, which we use only to check that the drawings look like your hero. If you answer by voice, we turn the recording into text and delete the audio straight away. Card details go to our payment provider (Stripe) and never reach us.
3. How we use it
We use your data to draw your comic, show you previews, print and ship the book, take payment, answer support messages and send the emails that belong to your order. We send offers and news only if you have agreed or the law allows it, and every offer has an unsubscribe link. We also look at how the site is used, to fix problems and improve it.
4. Who else handles your data
A few companies process data on our behalf. Our payment provider takes your payment, our print partner receives the finished book files and your delivery details to print and deliver the book, and our email provider sends our emails. We ask them to use your data only for those services.
5. How long we keep it
Drafts without an order are deleted 30 days after your last action, together with their photos. For paid orders we keep your photos, character sheets and panels for 12 months after delivery, so that we can handle reprints and claims, and then delete them. The finished pages and print files are kept for 24 months. Basic order records, such as date, amount and country, are kept for accounting.
6. Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Within 30 days we delete your photos, the face-match data and the comic images we made for you, and we anonymize your orders. Use Delete my data in your account, or see the Data deletion page for the other ways to ask.
7. Cookies and pixels
We use essential cookies to remember your country, keep your draft and keep you signed in. Analytics and advertising pixels, such as Meta's, load only after you agree wherever the law requires consent, for example for visitors in the EU.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for marketing. Email support@crazyhorsecomics.com and we will sort it out. Deletion requests are handled within 30 days.
9. Children
The service is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. When a comic is for a child, an adult uploads the photo and enters the answers. If you think a child has used the service on their own, tell us and we will delete what we have.
