Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
1. Who we are
Crazy Horse Comics ("we", "the horse") makes personalized printed comic books. These terms apply when you use our website or order a comic. By creating a comic or placing an order you agree to them.
2. Parody and satire
Our comics are works of parody and satire, made for fun. The stories are invented and exaggerated, and nothing in a comic is a statement of fact about a real person. No brand, celebrity or organization is affiliated with or endorses a comic we make.
3. Your photos
You keep ownership of every photo you upload. By uploading a photo you give us a limited, non-exclusive license to use it to draw your comic, show you previews, print and deliver your book and fix problems with it. We don't sell your photos or use them for anything else.
4. Photos of other people
Only upload a photo of a person if you have the right to use it and that person's consent, or their parent's or guardian's consent if they are a child. By uploading, you confirm that you do. We can refuse or remove a photo, or cancel an order, if it looks like a photo was used without permission.
5. Who can order
The service is not meant for children under 13. If a comic is for a child, an adult places the order and handles the photos and answers.
6. What we won't draw
We can decline or change a request that asks for hateful, sexually explicit or very violent content, content meant to harass or humiliate a real person, or other companies' brands and logos. Comics for heroes under 18 keep clean language. You see every page before it prints and can ask for changes.
7. A custom-made product
Every comic is made to order from your photo and your answers, so it is a custom product. That is why our Return Policy works the way it does: a full refund before you approve the cast and story, a partial refund after the pages are drawn, and no refund for a change of mind after delivery. Print defects are covered for 30 days after delivery.
8. Review windows
After you pay, we pause twice for your approval: first the cast and story outline, then every finished page. Each pause has a 24-hour window, with a reminder at 12 hours, and you can pause the clock with Stop my timer. If a window ends without a reply, we go ahead with things as they stand, and after the second window the book goes to print.
9. Prices, payment and shipping
All prices are in US dollars in every country we ship to, and your bank may convert the amount at its own rate. Payment is handled by our payment provider. We ship to the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom only. Delivery times are estimates, and if your book is late, tell us and we will chase the carrier.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the version in force when you placed an order keeps applying to that order. Questions? Email support@crazyhorsecomics.com.
